Details on the intervention: the First-Time Hearing Aid Users training program
· Group intervention
· 2 sessions of 1.5 hours
· Led by an audiologist and a psychoeducator
· Co-developed by clinical audiologist and the research team
· Topics addressed: maintenance and handling of hearing aid, adaptation to wearing hearing aid, communication strategies, self-image as a person with hearing loss
· Training methods: interactive teaching , discussions, practical activities
